An Educational Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Autism. I have provided speech and language services to over 300 children with Autism and special needs between the ages of 3 - 11. I design Language and Social Skills lesson plans fused with fun uplifting original music. All lesson plans are designed to target common IEP goals and benchmarks. These interactive musical lesson plans promote participation and language acquisition (expressive, receptive, functional, and social language) in students that require a non-traditional teaching method. All materials have been used and tested among a wide range of abilities: From typically developing students in PK - 2rd grade; to non-verbal and Autism; and of course, all special needs students in self contained programs PK - 5th.
I use a fun interactive approach to teaching. The goal is to promote participation and language acquisition (expressive, receptive, functional, and social language) in students that require a non-traditional teaching method. Each song / lesson plan I write provides multiple opportunities for students to respond to questions (verbally or non verbally). Simply point to or cue the student to answer when the song presents a question or an opportunity to respond.

Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Autism. I have provided speech and language services to over 200 children with Autism and special needs between the ages of 3 - 11. I also hold a "Master Trainer" Certificate in Picture Exchange Communication (PECS) and extensive training in ABA.
My passion for children with Autism began in 2009 when I first began a career in Speech and Language Pathology. My inspiration to write interactive musical lesson plans resulted through experience (trial and error) to gain and retain the attention of children with behavior and communication challenges. Lesson plans fused with fun, motivating music has been the key to my success. Today, I am committed to sharing this concept with all educators and parents.
