TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Over the past ten years I have had the privilege of teaching within general education and special education classrooms K-7 and 9-12. My true passion is K-4 as I love seeing the smiles on my student's faces when they make connections about a concepts we are learning!

MY TEACHING STYLE

As an educator I believe that we have the responsibility to motivate all students to decode, comprehend,and express themselves through oral, written, and digital outlets; while sparking their imagination of thoughts and ideas of what could be while encompassing real world skills needed to communicate and co-exist effectively as independently focused life long learners through quality, authentic, and interactive instruction.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Associates degree in Dance from Mesa Community College, Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from ASU, Masters degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in reading from NAU. Certificated: Elementary Education K-12, Special Education Cross Cat K-12, Endorsements in ESL K-12 and Reading Specialist K-12

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

In my spare time I enjoy being with family and friends, dancing, scrap booking, sewing, hunting, and fishing. I am married to my best friend and have a fabulous 3 year old daughter and newborn son who makes me laugh everyday!
