Over the past 40 years in education as a leader and a teacher, I have taught junior, middle and upper primary, special education, music education and distance education. In that time I have developed a 'tool box' of teaching gems embedding music into the curriculum.

Children are at the heart of Education. I view the teacher's role as a facilitator of a student's learning. Our role, as educators, is to create an environment where student's can feel safe to make mistakes on their journey of learning. I have found embedding and weaving music into the curriculum, is an excellent way to boost student engagement and student outcomes. I follow the adage of teaching through The HANDS, The HEART and the HEAD-the 3 H's as it is sometimes known.

I have taught children in Early Years and Primary Schools for over 30 years. In that time I have devised and accumulated hundreds of games and songs that 100 % engage children in the learning process. As an advocate of the Arts in student learning, I also offer professional development to teachers on how they can embed music into the curriculum and make learning fun for students and teachers.
