TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching high school social studies for eight years. I have taught all levels including college prep, honors, and advanced placement. I specialize in U.S. History and Psychology.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My niche is teaching AP level students. I have been teaching AP United States History for eight years and have come to love this content and the skills needed to master the exam each year. I have also taught AP Psychology for a number of years. The resources that are listed here are the items I use in my class on a daily basis. They have proven to be very effective in preparing students for Advanced Placement exams. Of my most recent APUSH students for the 2019-2020 school year, I had a 100% pass rate. Regardless of the course, I try to provide an experiential based approach to every content area. I want my students to be as hands-on as possible with the content in order to create deeper understanding. When applicable, I also try to utilize project-based-learning within my courses.
