Kryssie has been an educator in a variety of placements, since her career began in 2011. She is currently a Technology teacher, serving middle school students in grades 6-8. Prior to this assignment, Kryssie was a teacher on special assignment, where she served as a Professional Development (PD) Coordinator for a nationally recognized non-profit organization. Before diving into the world of curriculum development, Kryssie taught special education for two years and spent many years teaching in the general education classroom.

Kryssie fosters an environment of exploration, inquiry, and conceptual understanding. She believes that students learn best when they actively engage in their learning, ask questions, and make meaningful connections to the real-world. She encourages productive struggle, as it allows students to develop problem-solving skills and build resilience. Integrating technology into the learning process enhances students' understanding and provides opportunities for creativity and collaboration. Kryssie aims to empower students to become critical thinkers and lifelong learners by cultivating a growth mindset, where mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth and learning.
