TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a teacher for 15 years teaching Social Studies to middle and intermediate age students. I also just recently received my school counseling certificate and working on getting my LPC.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Lots of history teachers love to lecture - I am not one of those teachers. I would rather the kids be actively involved. I do a lot of foldables, cut and paste, interactive activities. I like talking and moving. A silent and still classroom freaks me out.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Teacher of the Year for my school

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from Baylor University and a MS in School Counseling from Lamar University.
