10 + years teaching in the public school system, in the cities and suburbs.
I believe in rigorous work for students that is not rote, and that cannot be completed without thought and struggle. I believe in designing assessments that are different from anything the students have seen previously, that are visually appealing and academically significant. I believe in fun, hands-on, interesting materials. I believe in the teacher's responsibility to create assessments that minimize the likelihood of plagiarism or cheating.
