13 Years of teaching a variety of science (7th grade science, 8th grade science, biology, physical science, chemistry, physics, and comprehensive science). I have also taught Spanish I, Spanish II, 7th grade health, 8th grade health, and high school health.
As a science teacher, of course I do a ton of labs and hands on learning. I have also tried many different gaming platforms for review games. My go to and favorite is currently Blooket and I share all of my blooket links to my study guides that I provide on TPT. I have also transitioned to the Google classroom and continue to share my Google Slides and Forms with everyone!
My favorite teacher moments are when students are learning something brand new to them and they have that "aha" moment. I see this constantly when teaching Physical Science and Chemistry. That is why the upper secondary classes can be so rewarding for teachers. I also love see students create in class such as our atomic models, or model bridges. Students truly never know their potential until they are pushed to it. It is so rewarding to see students' confidence grow and to know that I had helped them make a breakthrough.
Bachelors of Science in Biology: Unified Science from Southeast Missouri State University. Masters of Education in Science and Curriculum from Concordia University. +6 Hrs Masters level chemistry.
I'm passionate about science, technology and education. I'm excited to share my knowledge and resources with others. My goal is to make learning fun and engaging for students and teachers.
