15 years teaching elementary music 6 years teaching music education as adjunct prof at University of Puget Sound over 20 years of teaching individual and group voice lessons
I believe in the potential of students and in impact that teachers can have when they learn new skills and modify curriculum to best help students. I have had the opportunity to work extensively on my Sing Solfège & Scripture (for private Christian schools and instructors) and Sing Solfège and Spirituals (for schools). I have alway looked for new ways to bring joy through music, especially to students who have various disabilities. Having gone through challenges of my own, I have a new connection and deeper empathy for the ways invisible disabilities impact. I have developed this music curriculum with the goal for music to bring joy and growth in ways that seemed impossible.
