I have been teaching for 18 years now in a collaborative elementary classroom. I have taught first, third and kindergarten. I am a resource teacher for interns and team leader on my professional learning community. I am an experienced Site Based Decision Making council member with 7 years experience. I also serve as a Building Representative and Membership Chair of our local association within the Kentucky Education Association (KEA).
I use blended style consisting of inquiry based learning as well as cooperative learning methods.

I received my bachelor's in Elementary Education at Western Kentucky University in 1999. I received my Masters of Education at the University of Louisville in 2002. I gained my Rank 1 in Early and Middle Childhood: Reading and Literacy through the National Board Certification process in 2008.
I have been happily married to my husband, Michael since 2008. We have two children, Kaiden and Isaac. I am fluent in German and love soccer and sharks.
