I have 5 years experience as a middle school instructional coach and 11 years experience as a 6th-8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. I've also spent a year in Central America, teaching in a full-immersion, bilingual elementary school. Currently, I work as an education consultant & curriculum developer and teach online for the Georgia Department of Education.
It's important that learning is meaningful to students. I love creating projects and assessments that challenge students to connect their learning to their own world. I have a passion for getting students pumped about reading. I love using rich & readable novels to inspire reflection.
