Whole brain approach. I am dyslexic and a lot of the stratagies I use to learn works very well with primary grades, especially E.L.Ls and LD kids. I also believe in a lot of whole group lessons. Small groups are definitely important, but primary students need the conversation that leads to vocabulary. I believe in rigor. I believe that students are capable of much more than we are required to give them.

I am diagnoised dyslexic, ADHD and GT. These opposing 'special populations' made school difficult for me. I had to learn many stratagies to be sucessful. I believe this has made me a great teacher. I can teach any type of brain :)!
