I have been teaching in sunny Florida for twelve years now. I started out by teaching first grade for four years. Then I moved down to kindergarten where I have stayed ever since. I love this age because they make me laugh EVERY day!
Learning begins with a warm and safe environment for the kids. My teaching style is energetic and positive. I have found the more positive things I focus on, the less negative I come across.
I have been fortunate enough to be supported on sites such as Donors Choose and Adopt a Classroom. While these are not awards, I would like to acknowledge how much they have helped my classroom success.
I graduated from the University of South Florida in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I attended the Tampa campus.
I grew up in a small town from Michigan. By the time I was in Middle School, my family and I moved down to Florida where we have stayed ever since. I enjoy crafting, sketching, reading, coffee, movies, and spending time with my family. I have a son who is a teenager now! Also a daughter who is 12 years younger. They are my world.
