TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am an English teacher with experience in online and in-person instruction. I have been teaching for 6 years full time but have been a tutor in various capacities for over 10 years. I currently work with high school students but have taught school age children as well as adults. I focus on developing my students' verbal fluency, written communication, listening skills and reading comprehension. I write for academic as well as non-academic audiences and am skilled at researching, writing, editing & proofreading. I am passionate about pedagogy & instruction and creating resources that will help teachers unlock learning and curiosity in their classrooms.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in creating resources that are well designed and scaffolded so that they useful and ready for teachers to use immediately in their classroom. I focus on the process of student learning and engagement above all else, which means my resources are clear, simple to use and do not include fancy images, graphics or fonts. My hope is that any resource I create can be used by others again and again, year after year, and are easily adaptable to your classroom needs.
