Before turning my attention to teaching music in a public school setting, I taught piano, theory, guitar and flute in my private studio. During that time, I also worked as a clinician for Hal Leonard. I presently teach music to students in grades kindergarten to four at an inner city school.
I base my style on the principals of Orff, with a dash of Kodaly. My lessons are fun, engaging, involve multiple learning styles and often include cross-curricular components.

B.A., B.Ed., Grade 10 RCM Piano, presently completing a graduate diploma in Early Elementary Music.
When I'm not teaching, I'm at home with my three teenaged sons and my partner. We are a musical family, and perform in many different ensembles. I am presently learning how to play the French Horn :)
