I have been a teacher really my whole life but professionally for 5 years. I teach first grade at a public school. I love my job and going to work everyday confirms my passion for teaching.

I teach in a variety of ways because every student is different and learns best in different ways. By teaching the same concept in different ways I am setting my students up for success while reinforcing the skills.

When a struggling student and parent comes from a horrible experience to my school desperate for success and happiness and actually begin achieving their goals is my award each year.

I have a BS in elementary education from Indiana University as well as a reading intervention endorsement. I am also a certified Touch Math instructor and have experience teaching Orton-Gillingham.

I am married, have 2 fur babies whom I adore, love to read, cook, and bake.
