I've had the fortune to work in Christian child care for almost 20 years. Parenting 4 children (3 boys & 1 girl) over the last 25 years has also seasoned me and given me invaluable insights into the minds of both the parents and children in my care.
I have high expectations and clear cut rules in my classroom. Effort is the name of the game, and if you try I will notice. I like to be silly and goofy and talk to the kids about interesting things we/they have done or seen.
Successfully raising my first child to become a productive member of society? (Everyone deserves an award for this accomplishment :)
Bachelor of Science in Child Psychology from the U of MN- Twin Cities as well as a prekindergarten teacher licensure and a parent educator license. Oh, and 20 years of inservice classes relating to early childhood education.
Married for 20 years to my high school sweetheart. We have 4 children who range in age from our married oldest son, 25 to our daughter, age 10. My "hobbies" include driving to and watching sporting events(soccer, hockey, dance), reading, walking and making games on my laptop to supplement my early childhood curriculum.
