Welcome to Pre-K Dots! We are two experienced Early Years educators who happen to be sisters, best friends, and colleagues! . Our pedagogy-based resources are designed with today's learners and educators in mind and address the challenges of modern classrooms with a fresh, practical, and flexible approach to teaching and learning. At the heart of our teaching philosophy, is a child-centered, hands-on, and conducive learning environment where every child feels cherished, nurtured, and safe. Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to ignite curiosity, encourage exploration, and nurture social interactions. Warmth, affection, a sprinkle of humor, and profound respect for each child permeate the atmosphere, making learning a joyous experience. Classroom and behavior management are centered around keeping students engaged, and focused on relevant learning materials that align with Standards and best practices in Early childhood to support how children develop and learn. Our lessons embrace multiple modalities and learning styles, creating ideal learning experiences that support children’s cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development. We routinely modify strategies and materials to respond to children's needs and interests, and enhance learning, regardless of their differences, skills, and abilities. Fairness and inclusion are at the core of our teaching practice. We celebrate the unique strengths and challenges of each child and help them thrive in all aspects of their learning journey. Piaget cognitive development principles of Early childhood development, Montessori methodology, Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory, and Reggio's educational approach to learning directly influence our teaching. We are passionate about what we do and dedicated to advocating for children and intentional whole-child development.
