TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently co-teach a Kindergarten classroom near Chicago, Illinois. I have also taught self-contained Kindergarten multi-needs and 3rd-5th Grade Autism classrooms in Illinois, as well as a 3rd-6th Grade multi-needs classroom in California.

My name is Heather Chika and I have been involved in the special needs community since I started working for my local Special Recreation Association when I was 16. Along with teaching, I have also coached numerous Special Olympics teams and assisted children with various disabilities at a special needs summer camp for 15 years.
