Petrillo's Preschoolers

I’m Leanna, your go-to gal for everything early childhood. After being in the preschool classroom for 10 years I decided it was time to broaden my horizons. I come to you now with over 13 years of experience in both a half-day and full-day multi-age preschool setting. I have taught multiple curriculums, and even help with the youngest learners in my community as a Developmental Specialist. I am here to create play-based activities, and resources for both at home and in the classroom to make teaching easier, effective, and fun for you and your students or children. Teaching can be tough, and I'm here to remind you that you're not in this alone!

I am a proud graduate of Montclair State University where I received a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I serve as part of my schools PIRT team bringing strategies to my coworkers to improve their most difficult classroom behaviors using current research, best practices, state and national standards and common core standards. My school continues to be recognized for their highly effective preschool program through GrowNJkids. As one of the classrooms chosen to be observed in this study I am honored to be a contributing part of providing little learners with an exceptional environment to grow and learn.

I graduated with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2020, but my education has not stopped there. I am always learning, and taking courses to stay up to date on the most current educational practices.
