TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching English to ninth graders for three years. I love what I do and am always looking for unique and creative ways to engage my students and keep everything relevant to them.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I predominantly work in a reader/writer workshop style and feel that the "I do, we do, you do" process is the most effective in an English classroom. I also encourage my students to collaborate with one another and to seek out answers to any and all of their individual curiosities.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended a division two college in Kansas called Emporia State University on a soccer scholarship for a year and a half. I decided to transfer to a larger college and received my degree in English at Texas A&M University in College Station.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am always looking for ways to make life easier in this profession! Everything I create in my classroom and implement with my students is driven to accomplish high student success. I want to share the many things I have created with you in hopes that you will benefit from them as well. :)
