TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 6 years teaching experience. I started teaching at a private school in a K-2 combined classroom. I then moved to a public middle school and taught special education (6-8), English Language Arts (7-8), and ESL (Beginning and Advanced).

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that learning should be engaging for ALL learners, regardless of learning style or ability, and effective. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending how you look at it, teachers are geared to teach for success on standardized tests. Because of this I endeavor to design, develop, and implement lesson modules geared for the engagement of learners and strive for the most amount of growth on standardized tests. Most of my lesson modules will have a variety of assessments including open ended and multiple choice questions, writing assignments, and projects.
