NORthWOOD Learning Lab

With over a decade of teaching experience spanning elementary and secondary schools, I have been lucky enough to cover a spectrum of subjects, including the social sciences, humanities, religion, and English—my personal favorite being English as an Additional Language! I use my wealth of experience to make education accessible, meaningful, and fun for my students, making sure they practice the skills they need as 21st-century learners.

In my classroom, I embrace a dynamic teaching style, recognizing that each learner is unique, I integrate a variety of modalities, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive. By incorporating real-world examples into our lessons, I aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. This approach not only captivates students' interest but also instills a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Moreover, I am passionate about equipping my students with essential 21st-century skills. Beyond the curriculum, I prioritize fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and adaptability, preparing my learners for success in an ever-evolving world.

Welcome to the NORthWOOD Learning Lab! I opened my store in 2023 because I loved the no-prep items on offer at Teachers Pay Teachers. I thought it was time to start sharing my own creations and give back to the community that has supported my own teaching journey. I am Jessica, a graduate with a Masters in Education from Queen's University (Kingston, ON). I have been teaching for over a decade. When I'm not teaching I'm enjoying family life, travelling and catching up on all the podcasts. Thank you for supporting teachers and students!
