13+ years as an International Baccalaureate Middle School Librarian & Technology Specialist. Before that, 8 years as an at-risk alternative High School Science Teacher of Biology, Physical Science, and Chemistry. A School Library is just a bigger classroom with a lot more stuff to serve as accessories to our Library Lessons.
As a School Librarian, my goal has always been to minimize the time it takes students to find something they need with short, simple, interactive lessons, and to maximize library visits to support what teachers are doing in their classrooms. Since I've become a TPTer, my goal for other School Librarians is to minimize the time spent on administrative tasks and to maximize the value of their lessons.
For personal reasons I do not seek, nor do I accept, honors or awards. My teacher and librarian colleagues honor me with their trust by coming to me for ideas, tech help, and co-teaching. I do, however, love the moniker bestowed upon me by one of my favorite teacher friends: "Goddess of All That Is Known."
