I remember saying " I never would want to be a teacher." I started a substitute teacher as advice from an old college roommate as a job to fill time while you figure out what you want to do. Except, I fell in love with substitute teaching which prompted me to go back to school to get my special education credential and Masters in Special Education. I spent 10 years at a public high school teaching students with an array of diverse needs. It wasn't until the middle of the pandemic and the homeschool uprising that I switched over to being a Homeschool Teacher of Record and huge advocate for homeschool families!
I describe my teaching style as an arm around the shoulder while also kicking you in the butt. I like to make things fun and accessible to all students- but still productive- and always organized and cute.

I'm married to the love of my life and obsessed with our brown eyed boy and blue eyed girl. I loved my time as a classroom teacher and turned into an unexpected Homeschool Encourager.
