By Music Therapy Resources I have been working in special purpose schools for over 11 years providing music therapy services to support students in the developmental areas of speech and language, motor skills, and sensory regulation. I provide group and 1:1 music therapy services and am passionate about creating and implementing multisensory songs and rhythm based activities to enhance learning.
My approach utilizes the elements of music and movement to build expressive and receptive language skills, communication, motor planning skills, and increase sensory regulation. I pair visuals and props with almost all songs and activities to increase engagement and enhance learning.
