I taught grammar, literature, writing, vocabulary, and spelling for 12 years, grades 9--12. In the spring of 2013, I retired from active teaching. Prior to 12 years of teaching experience, I also taught part time for two years. Besides high school, I was qualified on my license to teach grades 5 and 6 in a middle school setting.
My style ranges from traditional to non traditional, depending on the subject, level of students, and class chemistry.
As a college student, I was awarded the 1996, Joan Jacob Award for Excellence in Secondary Education. I graduated in 1996, Cum Laude, Cumulative GPA: 3.76/4.0. In 1971, I graduated from high school. I graduated from Indiana State University, 1996,158 credit hours earned. Continued education earning credits in classes at Indiana State University and Indiana Wesleyan University.
My husband and I are the proud parents of grown children, the proud grandparents of grandchildren, and one precious great-grandchild.
