TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for over 15 years, with most of my experience coming in the field of Gifted and Talented Education. In this field I have worked to provide identification and instruction to above average and gifted students, but I have also provided school wide enrichment services to encourage, develop, and challenge all students--especially in the area of creativity.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to get students to wonder! My goal is to provide the deep questions, challenges, or just a seed of information to get students to think and take their own learning to the next level!

Recently awarded a District Foundation Grant to fund the beginnings of a Makerspace/Challenge group at the elementary school where I teach.

Graduate of University of Northwestern in St. Paul, MN with a Bachlor's degree in Elementary Education

In addition to studying education, I also studied Theater! I have worked throughout the Twin Cities area of MN both on an off the stage until I decided to shelve that role for a while to be able to spend more time filling the role of "Boymom"!
