Mrs T's Math Recipes

I have been a HS math teacher since 2007. I have been the Math Dept Chair in my HS since 2014. I have taught Foundations of Math 1, Algebra 1, NC Math 2, NC Math 3, Advanced Functions & Modeling (AFM), and PreCalculus Honors.

I have a very visual and artistic teaching style. All of my notes are "Fill in the Blank" Guided notes and my assignments range from worksheets, lesson checks (digital quick quiz), activities (physical and digital), and projects. I am very structured teacher and thrive on consistency in my material and in my classroom. I love to add detailed graphics and color to my lessons, worksheets, and activities. I do a lot of cutting and pasting with glue and scissors. I tend to think of material as a "big picture" and break apart the curriculum from that perspective.

I graduated from East Carolina University in May 2007. I ended up getting a job from the place where I did my internship and have been there ever since. I love teaching especially designing curriculum.
