St. Vrain School District, Longmont, Colorado • August, 2009 – Current Building Team Leader / Special Education Instructor  Launched Response to Intervention (RtI) at Westview Middle School; shepherding all change management including coordinating and training staff on RtI in preparation for implementation; monitoring adoption and adherence with instructors on 6 different teams and facilitating problem solving with teams, administration, students and parents to ensure program success  Managed all Special Education program elements within Westview Middle School while leading a team comprised of 4 certified and 3 classified employees  Special Education Language Arts instruction at 6th, 7th and 8th grade level. MY TEACHING STYLE

In the beginning of my career I was invested in Teacher Directed instruction and used a lot of Direct Instruction. For the past two years I have been involved in a more student inquiry based instruction for the the STEM school that I work at.
