With one year of experience as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, I underwent formal training to become a UK-qualified teacher, holding a BA (Hons) in History and Politics, along with qualifications in QTS and a PGCE (Secondary History). My subsequent role as a Humanities Teacher (History and Religious Education) in a UK Secondary School, catering to students aged 11-16, provided valuable experience. Subsequently, I transitioned to teaching English as an Additional Language in diverse international settings, including my most recent position at a Thai Elementary School.
I am a UK-trained and qualified teacher, so mostly teach according to the UK National Curriculum and standards expected by both the Department for Education and OFSTED. I believe in a style of learning that encourages students to ask, develop, and answer questions. The role of the teacher is to facilitate learning through providing excellent quality instruction and resources. I enjoy creating high-quality resources that allow students to develop both knowledge and skills.
