TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 30 years of teaching experience in elementary, middle, and high school. And over 25 years of teaching state-tested content in the area of science.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have been successfully teaching at-risk, struggling learners for over 30 years. My vocabulary-based curriculum is focused more on visuals and less on words to eliminate extra stumbling blocks that cause at-risk students to get overwhelmed and shut down at the beginning of the learning process. While my content is designed to help at-risk students, it also meets the needs of advanced learners by leaving extra space on each document for students to take additional notes and illustrations as needed.

I originally received my bachelors degree in elementary education back in the 1990's and later became certified to teach high school biology and AP biology. I've most recently received my Masters of Education in Leadership and Curriculum with an added emphasis in technology integration.
