Experience is the teacher of ALL things. I've been teaching primary grades in CCSD for over 25 years, and still LOVE it!!!
I believe primary teachers are some of the most talented, dynamic and compassionate people. The ability to guide students toward achieving academic success, while providing a healthy and positive learning experience for young children requires a unique sense of understanding and dedication. Teaching primary children is the perfect opportunity to “give it all you’ve got†and prepare experiences for children to expand their love of learning, their knowledge, their ability to get along with others, and their interest in reaching out to the world. Although the primary grades mark an important time to build the foundations of learning, I believe it is important to remember that children still need to be children. Young children are already eager to learn and they possess an innate curiosity. As a primary teacher, it is my quest to provide children with what they need to grow physically, emotionally, and intellectually. I am beyond thrilled to do it.
