I have experience working in a Title 1 school district. My first year teaching was completing two maternity leaves, one in 3rd grade and the other in K-8 Music, as well as a leave of absence in a pre-1st grade classroom for struggling students. All three placements opened my eyes to the true blessings...and challenges...of teaching! I then taught First Grade and have been in First for the past 3 years.

I have begun to love Whole Brain Teaching. The more I watch other educators utilize this teaching style in their classrooms, the more I'm hooked! All students CAN learn, just not the same way! Therefore, reaching each learning style is important to me.

Hello fellow educators! My name is Megan and I'm excited that you have landed here in my TPT store! Here's a little bit about me: I am a First Grade teacher in a public school in Tennessee. I have taught 3rd grade as well but my heart is in First! I have been teaching for 4 years. My husband Taylor and I have been married for 8 years and have two beautiful little girls. My husband is a band director at the high school in our community. We love teaching! Since the birth of our youngest daughter I have become a WAHM. While leaving the classroom was a tough decision for me, I firmly believe education starts at home and I am responsible for raising my children with a strong foundation! I plan to return to the classroom soon. Until then, I am so excited to come alongside other educators and teacher-authors to help you be the best teacher you can be by creating resources to reach each student in your classroom.
