TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught for 11 years in elementary school, and I love what I do! I started in fifth grade, but moved gradually towards kindergarten. I think I've found where I want to stay for a long time!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to let my students explore concepts through small group interaction whenever possible. I encourage movement and talking throughout my room because students are too young to sit still and be quiet.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have received art awards, and ribbons for races. Woohoo!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended the University of Washington in Seattle and received a BA in Japanese History, Language, and Culture. Then went on to earn a Masters in Teaching from Washington State University in Vancouver. I love being a teacher!
