I have extensive experience teaching World History, U.S. History, Economics, and Current Events at the high school and college level. In addition to my classroom teaching, I have also served as Yearbook Advisory and Mock Trial Coach. I have also worked as a Curriculum Specialist, helping teachers create engaging and effective lessons. My diverse background and broad range of experience have given me a unique perspective on education and a deep understanding of the needs of high school students.
My teaching approach is centered around the needs and interests of my students. I use personalized instruction, hands-on simulations, inquiry-based learning, and flipped classroom techniques to engage my students and help them take ownership of their own learning. I also believe in the importance of providing direct instruction that is grounded in standards and focused on big, essential questions. By combining these methods, I strive to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that empowers my students to explore, discover, and grow.
