Frida holds a bachelor degree in Audiology from the University of Tehran. She has been working as a Montessori teacher for the past 14 years in the Early Childhood and Lower Elementary levels. She holds her Early Childhood and Lower Elementary Credentials from the American Montessori Society. Frida is an adult educator and has been teaching Montessori Philosophy and Mathematics for the Montessori Teacher Education Center San Francisco Bay Area for the past 4 years. She also teaches internationally and has been to Taipei to teach Montessori Math and Philosophy. She is planning to join Fountainhead Montessori Adult Education, Dublin, CA as a Language Instructor beginning next fall. Frida also has training in Teaching Positive Discipline to Parents and has been working toward getting her certificate for becoming a Positive Discipline Associate in training.
Besides teaching, Frida enjoys photography and has had 6 of her photos published on the cover of Montessori Life magazine. Many of her pictures of Montessori students have also been published inside this magazine. All the photographs for the books “A Parents’ Guide to the Montessori Classroom” by Aline D. Wolf and “Math Works” by Michael Duffy are Frida’s work. Frida enjoys designing teaching materials and is currently working on her new line of Phonic Readers materials for pre-school to 3rd grade students. Her Math teaching materials are being sold at “Teachers Pay Teacher” website nationwide. Frida has presented several workshops including a workshop at the American Montessori Society’s International conference in Fall 2007 and Fall 2009 titled: “How to take better pictures in a Montessori classroom and use them effectively to promote the Montessori Philosophy.” Frida has also presented a workshop on “The Montessori Method: An Introduction” in summer 2012, in Tehran. This workshop was facilitated by the Iranian Association of Audiology for the educators who are involved with children who have hearing difficulties.
