Monique Jordan is a graduate of Madison High School in San Antonio, TX and former captain of the Madison Dollies Varsity Dance Team. Monique is a student a Lamar University earning her M.Ed. in Digital Learning and attended Sam Houston State University where she earned studied Dance & Sociology and where she danced with the Orange Pride Dance Team. As a member of Orange Pride, Monique helped her team win 2 consecutive NDA Collegiate National Titles in Daytona Beach, FL. Additionally, Monique was a part of the San Antonio Rampage Ice Girls from 2007-2008. She has served as a staff member with MA Dance for 12 years, which has provided her with the opportunity to teach and choreograph such dance genres as Pom, Jazz, and Hip Hop halftime and contest routines for numerous dance teams throughout the country. Additionally, she is a regional contest judge for MA Dance during contest season and has served as a dance instructor for Raquel Garcia’s (Former Spurs Silver Dancer Coach & Houston Dynamo Dance Coach) dance studio, 5678 Danz Monique became an elementary and middle school dance specialist as the lead dance teacher at Yellowstone Academy. She is the current Dance Teacher/ Assistant Dance Director of the Thurgood Marshall High School Mystics and is the former head dance coach and choreographer for the UTSA Pom Squad & LSC CyFair Spirit Team. She is also a member of the Texas Dance Educator’s Association where she is a K-8 Dance Workshop Presenter as well as the National Federation for High School Coaches. Her passion is to continue evolving with dance & spirit, incorporating new teaching techniques, and staying current with today’s fan experience and choreography.
