I have been teaching in a Dual Language program for over 5 years. What is Dual Language you ask? Basically the students take all subjects in BOTH English and Spanish. This means I only see my homeroom for their English subjects for half a day then we switch and I see a second group in the afternoon. Basically, I teach twice as many students in half the time as a regular teacher. So time is something I never have enough of. This is why I am constantly trying to find ways to work more efficiently.
An improv act performed twice a day. No amount of planning can ever fully prepare you for the day. I feel that my performance as a teacher is gauged by how well I can accommodate to their individual needs. This often leads me to alter materials or create them from scratch.
My reward is seeing how much my students have gone in the year that they were mine.

Growing up around computers, creating spreadsheets comes naturally. I love seeing all my students data organized in an easy to read format.
