Miss Sara in 2nd

This will be my 3rd year of teaching in Colorado at a Title I elementary school. I taught 4th grade for one year, but jumped at the chance when a position in my school opened up to be a 2nd grade dual-language teacher! I previously spent four years teaching English abroad in Madrid, Spain, where I learned Spanish. My products feature content I would use in my own classroom. Therefore, my content tends to focus on differentiation and supports for ELLs. I also try to include Spanish versions for most of the resources.

I like to think of my teaching style as flexible and fun, built around core values of differentiation, community-building, and growth mindset. One of the wonderful benefits of working in a bilingual school is being able to use my language skills to help elevate my ELL & bilingual students' abilities and also support their needs.

B.A in Psychology, Completed Elementary Teacher Licensure program at University of Colorado Boulder, M.A in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from Universidad de Alcalá de Henares in Madrid, Spain.

Along with a passion for education, I enjoy cooking, reading, hiking, camping and running/fitness.
