TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a TK teacher working in LAUSD. I earned my credential, ECE permits, and M.Ed. through UCLA’s IMPACT program in early childhood and elementary education. What drew me to the university’s program is its mission to equalize the disparity between low-income and affluent schools by steering its graduates to consider the challenges faced in urban schools. My undergraduate studies at UCLA taught me that the university stands on the principles of equality and justice. My personal background and experience have made me want to empower children from poor and minority communities.
