TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 3 years of religion and math for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at a Catholic school in the Kansas City area. I am now moving up to a Catholic High school and am looking forward to some higher-level classes.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love interactive notebooks, songs and raps, fun jokes, mnemonics, and videos, project-based learning, and critical thinking.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Inspiring Teacher of the Year-Awarded by Rockhurst High School Valedictorian-Benedictine College

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received Bachelor's degrees in math and secondary ed from Benedictine College in Atchison, KS in 2015. I am currently working on my Master's in math through Pitt State University in Pittsburg, KS.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I come from a long line of teachers. My mom taught many grades and subjects for years and is now a school principal. My twin sister teaches 4th and 5th grade math in the same archdiocese as me. I resisted the call to be a teacher for a long time, but I am now 100% sure that I am where God has called me to be. I love teaching, love my students, love math, and love theology. :)
