TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my second year as a 6th grade science teacher in Natick.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In my classroom, I try to mix inquiry based learning into most of my lessons. Life science can be very abstract to adolescents and I try to make hands on and interactive activities that allow students to be more creative while in the science classroom.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my Bachelor's of Arts in Sociology from the University of Tampa along with two dance minors; teaching and performing dance. From there, I became a paraprofessional educator and 1 to 1 working with students of very diverse backgrounds. This included work in a behavior classroom, work with students on the spectrum, and work with English language learners. I received my Masters of Education in Middle School General Science from Cambridge College.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Outside of school, I sing in an a cappella group, choreograph school musicals, dance with a modern dance company, and teach tap dancing.
