TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been an elementary school counselor for 12 years (and have loved every minute!) and currently work in a K-5 elementary school. I work with students via classroom guidance, small groups, and individual meetings. I am also the Intervention Assistance Team coordinator and the 504 Plan coordinator for my building. When I'm not taking part in one of the aforementioned duties, I am kept busy with all the other random things that come my way each day! All of my Teachers Pay Teachers items are those that I originally created for use within my own school counseling program and found to be helpful.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal is to connect with students on a level that allows them to feel comfortable learning and sharing with me. Creating positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community is what keeps my program going and the show running!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Recognized educator in April 2017 by the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce in a community "Salute to Education."

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Counselor Education from the University of Toledo.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have a wonderful family - 2 kids, 1 on the way coming April 2019, 3 dogs, and 1 cat!
