In college I was an assistant teacher at an international preschool. My internship was in a K-2 full inclusion classroom. taught 2nd grade in an inner-city school in Orlando. Then I was given the opportunity to teach students on movie and tv sets. Between set tutoring positions, I taught at a preschool. I was given experience in all ages from infancy to age 4/5. I was a site manager of a Kindergarten-1st grade summer camp. I was an age 3-5 Teacher Lead for a company in Orlando that watched children while their parents were in town for conventions. I was an Art Teacher for a summer at a camp and for a few months at a business called The Creation Station while I lived in Las Angeles. I worked for a company called The Storyteller telling stories at local schools, libraries and parties with their felt products. I taught half a year in a 3rd/4th grade inclusion class. I looped up the next year and taught 4th grade. I taught 6th grade world history. I taught 6th grade math. I taught 6th grade science and language arts. I was the 6th grade language arts demonstration classroom in an America's Choice school, co-teaching with the ESE teacher in an inclusion classroom. I was a Middle School Instructional Coach and School Technology Contact. I was a District Instructional Coach for middle and high schools. I was a high school reading coach. I taught 3rd grade. 1 year as a co-teach, the next year self-contained, the following year as the literacy member of a 3rd grade team in an inclusion classroom. I was an Elementary Literacy Specialist. I currently am a K-12 Literacy Specialist and Data Analyst on the District Data & Assessment Team.
I tend to be strict and have high expectations for my students. I like to embed literacy and creativity into my students' projects.
