I believe that being a teacher in the world today was much different than being a teacher 20 years ago. Therefore our strategies must change to the times. We must utilize the way we receive information, collaboration, and emerging technologies to benefit the students. With the instantaneously ability to access information and facts from the internet, our roles of teachers have changed. We cannot keep up with industries, but fear not. We need to teach how to understand information, how to use information, and how to use it to benefit us. I teach math on a holistic level. Math allows us to model patterns and create accurate predictions with data. Never say, "You will use this later in life" or "This will help in high school and jobs." I say, "I am giving you tools to predict the future."
