TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching elementary art since 2011. I have worked in a k-8 school, working with all grade levels and I currently work in a k-5 school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I incorporate art history into my lessons and base each project around either an artist or particular style of art. I also relate art activities to daily life so that students realize that art is everywhere and that what we are learning will always be relevant and important for them to know. My lessons follow this pattern: 1. Whole class lesson/discussion 2. Demonstration 3. Student practice/activity 4. Final project
