PK or K Teacher? Check out: KinderQuest |
I have taught 1st/2nd grade for 7 yrs(A 1st and 2nd combo for 5 years and a straight 1st grade for 2 years!). I also taught Kindergarten overseas for a year. There is just something amazing about teaching young children. They have so many "light-bulb" moments! I also love being able to influence their characters, so they can become positive and loving citizens of our school, community, nation and world!
I love group work and hands-on activities! If I can get the kids outside to do an activity even better!
I've been nominated a few times for "Who's Who Among Teachers" and have received many "You're the BEST teacher ever!" awards from my students. :)
I have a B.S. in Elementary Education. I'm certified to teach all subjects K-8 and have endorsements to teach certain 9th-10th Grade classes.
My husband (an Outdoor Education Director) and I love the out-of-doors and traveling the countryside to visit family! We are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl, that keeps us on our toes. We are in pursuit of a simpler life that is focused on relationships with others, rather than things, and hope to glorify God in that pursuit. Teaching runs in my veins, and I'm constantly bouncing ideas off of my amazing mother, who teaches middle school in sunny Flor-i-day (LUCKY)!
