just finished my third year!
I guess you can call my teaching style as constructive learning. I want to help students learn through their own experiences using their own prior knowledge and making new connections. I hope I can facilitate those connections.
I have to say the best "award" I have received to date would be a letter from one of my first year students. We had a bit of a struggle all year, but in the end, she understood that I pushed her so hard because I knew she could do it.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA from Radford University on May 9, 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, Elementary Education with concentrations in English and Social Sciences. I received my Virginia Teacher Licensure at that time as well. I also obtained my North Carolina Teaching License in March 2010. I acquired my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in August 2010. I am currently teaching fifth grade in Virginia. I plan on pursuing a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction or Educational Leadership.
