6th year of teaching and I am loving it. I am trying to bring a modern spin to education.
I like to incorporate a lot of group work into my lessons. Individual work is used when I am assessing them. I also like to bring a lot of educational activities into the classroom as well. The more I can make math fun, the better.
Yet to be added
When I was in my high school class of economics, my teacher told the class that there is always going to be a need for teachers, so I thought that I would try to out to see if I liked it because I knew that I already had a passion for math. My senior year of high school, my school had a new class called "Teaching Internship." I learned that I loved teaching, but I knew that I wanted to teach high school. From there, I went to Concordia University Chicago and majored in Secondary Education Mathematics with an endorsement in Middle School Mathematics. Throughout college, I tutored and was a supplemental instructor. I student taught at Oak Park River Forest High School and after student teaching, I long term subbed there. Right after long term subbing at OPRFHS, I taught summer school at my old high school, Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School. I also received a job offer to teach math during the school year and this is where I am today. I also work as a math team coach and robotics coach for a FIRST team.
I love Star Wars, so occasionally, you will see some questions relating to Star Wars because I truly cannot help myself.
